The Civil War Sewing Circle...and Lucky 13 Give-A Way!

Kathleen Tracy's new book, the "Civil War Sewing Circle", is FABULOUS! I just received my personally autographed copy...
Sew many cute ideas for small quilts and accessories. Like this wool appliqué sewing box...
or this needle case and letter packet...
And then there are the quilt projects...WOW!
This one is My personal favorite...
I LOVE the quilting on it ...
Kathy also included excerpts from "The American Civil War: Letters and Diaries"
I highly recommend this book if you love "quilts and sewing accessories inspired by the Civil War era". High quality pictures and clear instructions make this book "A MUST" for your quilting pleasure. Sew many quilts and ideas! Like I said, it is fabulous and well worth purchasing.
In fact, I thought that I "would" love it sew much that I purchased two. Well, the truth is that forgot that I had pre-ordered a copy from Amazon.com. So I would like to offer a give-a-way of my "extra" copy...this is my 13th post for January and lets call it "Lucky 13"!
Please leave a comment on this post and I will draw the winner on Monday, January 31st at 12pm PDT.

Good Luck!

Hugs,

Elaine

I don't have a local supplier for civil war repros, but I certainly do like the greyed colors...so more my style than the brights that are so prevalant today. Such a great period in history. I would love to read the book!

What a lovely book, and the projects from the era when nearly everything was made at home are so interesting....no running down to the corner shop for anything they needed!

How kind of you Elaine to give your spare copy away. I haven't put an order in yet, as the postage to New Zealand is pretty high, but looking at the photo of the inside of the book, I may have to do so, if I'm not the lucky one.
Mind you, you wouldn't want to post to me, but I could pay you the postage. Very confusing!!
Cheers

This is my second try in leaving a comment. Let's hope it goes well this time. Prehaps it's because I'm throwing myself in to the competition for a lovely book, that I didn't get it right the first time? I really love CW fabric, history and patterns. This book will fit in quite nicely on my self. If I shouldn't be the one, I need to order the book myself :)

Chuckling here Elaine...another reason why I'm not successful in give-aways finding out about them after the winner has been chosen!!!

Had a house full of guests over the weekend (missionary family going to Mauritius)and also on Cyclone alert (which thankfully ended up a rain depression), so only today (Tuesday) catching up on blogs etc.

Lovely looking book.
