Stress = High blood Pressure

Well, I'm off work for a couple of days. The dreaded "Stress" attacked and my blood pressure went sky high!
150/105 to be exact... stress is not good for you!

Treatment plan... relax with some hand sewing. Sounds like a great plan to get my blood pressure back to normal don't you think?

Oh Elaine...you really need to take it easy and not let "stuff" get to you. I fight high BP myself and it's not fun at all.

Sewing does help and calm, doesn't it?!

Hi Elaine!

I really don't want to put any "pressure" on you, but since we're almost "blood" sisters, I tried to call you a few minutes ago. *s*

I wanted to have a "heart to heart" chat with you. *grin*

Thought of you all day long and was wondering if you were down for the "count" - okay, I'm getting desperate with puns, here... give me a break! LOL

Seriously, I DID think about you all day and worried, too.

Hope you get better REAL soon!

Rosa

Relaxing gentle stitching is probably just what the doctor ordered - it certainly helped me!

I always find hand work to be a stress reducer - try to blank out your mind of stress and just stitch!

Elaine, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure at the beginning of the year, and it has really thrown me for a loop! I've never had it before, and of course now I am on meds, which make me feel draggy. Any hints to bring it down would be appreciated.

Elaine,
You take care of yourself and truly relax, get that blood pressure down, it's nothing to mess around with.

Maybe you need another cruise:)

Hand piecing and embroidery are my ways to de-stress.

Will keep you in my prayers.

All the more reason to treat yourself to some "me" time and stitching time! Take care....

Do relax. I had high blood pressure and was on medication for several years. Then I was able to get off the medication after I changed jobs. The bulk of my problem was stress related. The meds made me feel (as Happy Cottage Quilter said) draggy. I hope your blood pressure is in normal range very quickly.
