Tawanda Lives...

Ok it happened... "Tawanda's" back and it's not a pretty sight! It's been HOT, over 100 degree (today 111). I do fine up to about 89 but anything over than that...well it's just NOT good! And then "Tawanda" takes over.

The area that I live in here on the Central Coast of California has a very mild climate. Homes do not have air conditioning. Stores literally have run out of room fans.

Last summer we also had a couple of days of very extreme weather...we went to the Embassy Suites and stayed.

It's just too HOT.......... I'm heading to stand in front of the refrigerator with the door open.

Life is HOT

PS: Beware of "Tawanda", she is a nasty, cranky old woman. Confirmed by DH

A Perfect Day...

After spending the morning at "Jo Mama's" enjoying our coffee and view, we headed over to Shell Beach to have lunch at the "Spyglass Inn" restaurant where we went a few weeks ago.

Can you believe this weather? The pelicans visited and provided a beautiful demonstration of their soaring abilities. The scenery was breathtaking!
"Mariner's Sea Food Salad"...YUM! The fish was so fresh, a very delicious lunch!

A perfect day... the great companionship of my DH, beautiful weather and gorgeous scenery.

I thought it couldn't get any better but it did! I am very blessed...

Pay It Forward

I was visiting my friend Susan's blog and saw that she was doing the ultimate... a "pay it forward" exchange based on the concept from the movie "Pay It Forward" where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipient of the act of kindness will in turn pass it on.

So here is how it works... I will make and send 3 homemade gifts to the first three people who leave a comment on this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don't know yet what my gift will be but it will be especially made for you!

What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.

I am really looking forward to creating something special for the first 3 people who leave a comment on this blog. This is exciting , don't you think?
