Lattes and Laptops

After a day of baking and work for DH, we are at Starbucks Coffee Shop enjoying a latte while we play on out new "toys".
My laptop is starting to settle down, making it a lot nicer to use. Dh just got a netbook and is thrilled that it has Windows XP. We have now entered into the portable computer era...
amazing technology at our disposable!
Lattes are perfect! Life is good....

Back in the Kitchen Again!

What a treat...I actually baked two loaves of banana bread today! It's been a long time since I baked and I throughly enjoyed it. A nice change of pace for the day!

Now I'd better get back to sewing...more special hearts to make!

Therapy Unit

My Dear Husband's Therapy Unit...a Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide. If a bike can be labeled "gorgeous" than this is one gorgeous bike!

Remember this "It's not the destination, it's the journey". This bike can take you anywhere you want to go...and what a ride it is!

The new computer...a laptop! The bad news is that it has the Vista system...UGH! Received the computer on Tuesday, March 24th and have had to call Dell technical services 3 (yes 3 times) already. Yesterday, after spending most of the day downloading programs, it had to have a systems restore back to factory mode. So once again had to reload programs. This time though I'm taking it one program at a time to check for compatibility. What a pain!

Surprise in the Mail!

My quilting friend, Cyn:), sent this fabulous notebook to me yesterday. We had taken a class together at the Temecula Quilt Co. when I was there attending the Road to California Quilt Show in Ontario. The "Civil War Diary Quilt" class is every month, hopefully I will be able to make it to class again!

The inside of the notebook is organized to hold the instructions for making the wall hanging that is taught in class. Cyn:-) also included some muslin and wool pieces that are needed to make the center block "China Doll". Thank you Cyn:-)...I love it!
